Super Saturday

Today was such a fun day. Eli went with Tommy and I took Bleeze with me. Eli and Tommy enjoyed a day at my grandfather's. They went fishing and gun shooting. LOL! They had a blast. I on the other hand had a fun day with my sweet Bleeze. We went to the train show in Mauldin. It was fun. He loved, loved, loved the room made up of a huge train table. I even locked my keys in my van. LOL! We enjoyed our time just hanging out at the pretty landscaped area at Maudlin Rec center. It was nice. We had a good time. Then we went to the mall and hung out for a bit. It was fun.

We enjoyed church tonight. It was great! Now off to bed... I am tired!

It seems that lately my mind has been on overload. I have always taken much pride in the fact that I can multi-task and I actually can do it pretty well. I can even “multi-task think” I have been accused on more than one occasion of thinking too much. Of over analyzing situations, etc. It is my personal opinion that I can’t think too much.

Lately though, I feel like I am frying my brain. I have so much to think about. You know the normal things….. increasing my walk with Christ, my marriage, the kids, home school, business decisions, things to prepare for the beach, financial situations and opportunities, going in the direction God would have me go in, relationships with others, overcoming hurts and fears of the past and current situations, allowing myself to be who I want to be….not what others want me to be or what I think other expect of me, but who I want to be and who God wants me to be. It can get crazy in my little brain with all this and much more spinning around in there. At times I can allow it to consume me. This morning during my devotion the scripture was brought to my attention Isaiah 43:2-3 says this "Don't be afraid, I've redeemed you. I've called your name. You're mine. When you're in over your head, I'll be there with you. When you're in rough waters, you will not go down. When you're between a rock and a hard place, it won't be a dead end—because I am God, your personal God.” How AWESOME is THAT!!!!! Having said that, it brings me to my next point……
I have noticed that facebook status updates have become peoples way of communicating their “true” feelings about themselves, others, and situations of life. The reality is their “facebook status” tends to be their “real life” status I tell you, sometimes, it is almost tempting to delete the account. I would never do that though because some of the most precious people in my life this my way of communicating with them. There are certain people with such gloom and despair it is depressing to read their status! What is so sad for me is that most of the gloom and despair people are believers in Christ. And good grief…. I have never in all my life seen the stinkin devil get so much credit for things as he does on facebook. I am not talking about “worldly” issues. I am talking about you know…”the devil is on my back, the devil is stealing my joy, and the devil is attacking my body again” Okay first of all….. Let me get a few things straight with you. Do I believe the devil attacks? Yes, I do, the Bible is pretty clear on that….1 Peter 5:7-9 (New International Version)7Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 8Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
Notice the scripture says. “Cast all your anxiety on him” It also says. “Be self-controlled and alert” and it says “resist him, standing firm in the faith” Where is our faith? Our faith is low because we do not follow the word. “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God” Most of us are not taking to time to really listen to the “word” of God. If we were, then not just our facebook status would change but our “real life” status would change.
Another thing, he can only steal your joy if you allow him to. The devil can only do what you allow him too. The word of God also says in Isaiah 54 “no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me," declares the LORD.
As far as the devil coming against your body, remember Psalms 103:3 “he who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases. That tells me he doesn’t just pick and choose, but he can heal ALL our diseases. Physical, Mental, Emotional, Financial, and Spiritual disease!!!! He heals it all!
We have been doing a study at our church on Ecclesiastes. I encourage those of you who are struggling to go to http://www.gracechurchsc.org/ and download the series for free and listen to it! It will help you understand, that this world and everything in it… the good and the bad are truly meaningless. If we are believers in Christ, we have to know that the things of this earth do not matter. But what matters the most is that we live for him and be examples to this fallen world of what Christ has done for them. To reach out and live a life that others see a difference. They see God moving in you and through you, creating a desire for life change that only Christ can bring.
As I was writing this blog, I received a phone call from my brother. I did not tell him what I was doing. We happen to bring up an individual who sometimes is grouchy. He began to say all the reasons this person is grouchy. They have had a bit of troubles lately, “I made the comment, well just because you are going through a hard time doesn’t mean you have to be a butt-hole” (Yes, I said “butt-hole” (could have said worse...LOL)). Then I said to him, “Look at you, you are jobless, and as of today, homeless, but you are not being ugly” He said, “That is called Peace” WOW! That is what I am talking about. Some of you know my brother… go look at his status updates….”The Lord is near to those who call him, enjoying a great day of packing, the Lord is faithful, He is good, God is GOOOOOD, Good Day, Good Day, we had a moving sale” You would never know that He was going through such a hard time. That is what I call knowing who your redeemer is!
I leave you with this with a message from Jesus himself.… Mark 11:22 "Have[a] faith in God," Jesus answered. Have faith because we have a big, big God who wants to do more for us than we could ever imagine. Trust him because he is faithful!!!

Today has been wild. I stayed up half the night getting my house cleaned last night. Then this morning I worked on StyleSwap and ran errands. Poor Brandi got the scare of her life. Ava got really sick and had to be rushed to the doctors. He temperature was so high it would not even register at the doctor's office. THANK GOD! She is doing better!

We met at Pete's in Simpsonville tonight to get more consignors! AWESOME turn out again! We are getting down to the wire now! If you haven't signed up, let us know. You still have time! The good thing about Pete's is I love their grilled chicken salad and not to mention the bananna split that Brandi and I shared! YUMMMMMMMO!!!

Monday...........................

Well, today has been a Monday for sure. I had to play catch up with Brandi. She and Jon had been away celebrating their 5th wedding annversary (lucky duck's). I can't wait to have my feet in the sand in just a few weeks. We worked all day on Style Swap. Eli took this sweet picture of Ava at lunch. She is sick! Poor baby. We kept Anna today for Brandi to take Ava to the doctor (ear infection) Bleeze had a blast playing with her!
Poor baby has a bruise on her cheek...she is still beautiful (sick and bruised)

Tonight we met consignors at Starbucks! AWESOME turn out! Keep on coming guys! Let's make StyleSwap Super!!!!

Super Saturday

Bleeze Loves him some strawberries!!!

Today was a good day. I got some cakes started early this morning and then I took the boys and my niece Lexi to Strawberry Hill. We met my parents there and had a great lunch and then bought some fresh strawberries. The kiddos had a blast. I just wish Tommy had been able to go with us! Poor thing...works like a dog! I did send him the following picture. Me and a Sundrop drink. They hard to find so I bought him two in an old fashioned glass bottle. He loved them!

I had some deliveries to make and then I cooked dinner for Tony and Tammy. It was pretty good. Oh did I mention, our air condition was out when I came home from the Strawberry Farm! Thank God I put all the cakes in coolers or they would have been puddles of icing! Thank goodness it did not cost very much to fix and was something minor. I am so tired. I just started another cake tonight. It is a fun one for our neighbors little girls first birthday. Precious!

So that was our day! Enjoy our pictures!

Soggy Sunday

Today has been a soggy day....very, rainy and even cold...uggh! We went to church which was totally awesome. It always amazes me how God confirms himself through the messages each week. Everything the message was about today was things Tommy and I have been faced with in the past couple of days. I just thank God for clarity. I just pray to continue to see things clearly.

After church we had to run by the store. I am so happy I bought a new bathing suit 4 times smaller than last years! WOOT WOOT!!! We hurried home for me to finish up a cake and then I had lunch with my parents. We also went to our neighbors little girls bday party. So sweet! Then we headed out to Eli's end of the season soccer party. It was nice. Big thanks to Sandra for opening up their home. The boys even went swimming in the freezing rain. It was kinda sad this time. Their coach announced he was not coming back next season and some of the players are moving up to different age brackets or going to different teams. These boys have played together for years. It was sweet. I forgot my camera at home but took some pics with my phone. They are not too great but you will get to see them anyway! LOL!

I am crashing I had about 8 hours sleep in four days. I am feeling really yucky. Going to catch some ZZZZ's. Hope everyone has a great week and signs up for StyleSwap! Here is a picture of Bleeze tonight...he is worn out!

whew...

THIS IS HOW I FEEL.....LOL!
That is all I can say...whew... I am exhausted! I have been so busy today. It is crazy. Homeschooling, running errands for StyleSwap. I am beat! I am sitting here waiting on a cake to cook, getting ready to issue some consignor numbers for the big sale. All of you that haven't, you should. It is a great way to make some cash!!!

I will be honest, it seems like my head has been spinning lately with tons of different things. From God, husband, being a wife, kids, being a mom, being a friend, a good steward, servant, etc. I am in mind overload.

Tommy and I enjoyed a walk tonight. I just love my walks with him. We get to talk in peace because the boys usually ride in the battery operated car, bikes, or scooters. Sometimes they even stay with the grandparents for us to walk. So nice! We had so much to talk about and my mind was racing, I actually had to stop, grab my head and just shake it! If I blogged about everything going on in this mind of mine I would never stop blogging! LOL!

Maybe I can get to each topic over the next few days! I have to admit, we are going to be SWAMPED for StyleSwap this week, so don't forget to come sign up to consign! We are also still taking vendors and advertisors in our Ad bags!

Okay, I think my cake is cool enough now, I have to go to bed. I am so exhausted! Good night!

Last night after returning from camping we had dinner with my parents. They made Tommy's favorite meal for his birthday. BBQ and potato salad. He ate like a pig! Tonight we celebrated with family and friends at Smoke on the Water! The food there is always fabulous! We had a great time. I made Tommy a strawberry cake...did not get a picture though!

After dinner we enjoyed a nice walk downtown with Tony,Tammy, and Lexi. I forgot my camera in the car. Tammy, send me copies of yours when you get a chance.

Happy Birthday Tommy!

Just wanted to say Happy Birthday to my sweet hubby Tommy!!! I love you with all my heart and I hope your day is full of awesome!!!!!!

weekend in paradise

Oh....we had a nice weekend of relaxing. We we went to Dreher Island. It is towards Columbia, SC. I don't know how we ended up there. It just seemed like a good idea on the drive. So that is where we went. It was really nice. It was beautiful. We did absolutely nothing! We sat by the lake, the boys played in the water, fished, I read 2 books! Yes 2. We took long walks and bike rides. It rained one afternoon and we just laid in the camper and listend to God's glory fall on the roof! It was awesome!

Sunday, my dear friend Lori and her boys came to visit. We had fun chatting, sitting, and doing NOTHING! The boys had a blast! My boys always think that her boys are her cousins!

So thankful for the time with my sweet family!
