What's Up a week into the New Year!

So here is my 2nd blog of the New Year! I did not make promises of how often I would blog like I have in the past... just that I would blog. LOL!

Last week enjoyed the last few days of vacation. We were mostly very LAZY!  Our days were made of staying up late watching movies and sleeping late in the mornings. It was AWESOME!!!
I enjoyed just having down time with the kiddos before the crazy schedule of life started this week.

So this week we started back to f school and are back the grind! The boys were ready to get back to work. They have this philosophy that the more they work the closer it gets to summer! That we are all ready for especially after the 2014 "polar vortex" .  It has been freezing! The coldest in a decade here in the south.  I try not to complain about it too much....  We could have it so much worse... all you have to do is log into Facebook to see how bad the weather is in other areas of the country....  Not just the weather though.... it seems like Facebook has been covered in tragedy lately. From sickness, death, accidents, etc. I really do not have the right to complain about a little cold air.

So there is a little update. The countdown has started for our first dance competition in a week. I think I am as excited as the boys are! I can't wait to see them compete!  So for now.... I am off to finish homeschooling and working on my Valentine Mini Session Package! Hope everyone has had a great start to their week!

New Year... New Blog

So... It's January 2014... and  we all are making New Year's resolutions...... blah, blah, blah.... I don't mean to be a Debbie Downer but this is a yearly thing no one seems to keep up with EVER! I know I am guilty of making an entire list of "resolutions" or "do better this year list".... whatever we decided to call it that year... and by January 15th of each year must of the "promises" have been compromised in one fashion or another.   So for me this year.... I just think I will do whatever I can to make things "better" or "different" in the moment I am in.

For those of you who know me and know me well and have known me for many years, you know that I was once a VERY faithful blogger. I blogged daily sometimes multiple times daily. I had a pretty huge following of readers and I really enjoyed sharing my life with anyone interested.  I shared everything from family moments, people, places, and things that I enjoyed,  political and religious views, ideas, feelings, etc. You name it... it was in my blog. Here is the thing about my blog... it was always real, raw, and to the point. It was however I was feeling that day... heck, some days I didn't even you punctuation or proper  grammar. I have been know to type in entire lower case or upper case. However I was feeling that day.   So why did I stop blogging? I guess there are many different reasons..... First of all I found I was expecting baby #3 and it totally stopped me dead in my tracks.... it was if life stood still, busy... busy... busy... life is SO busy, but I guess the number one reason is the hurt I felt from some of the people I loved most. Many discussions, good and bad, came from my blogging days. It is crazy how people who have a difference in opinion with you can just write you off  just because of personal opinions and beliefs.

So with that being said.... I guess if I were going to make a New Year's resolution, change, etc.... whatever we want to call it.... my biggest thing would be to rid myself of hurt and intimidation of what people think in almost every single area of my life. So with that being said... it is the return of the ALLISON BAGWELL BLOG!!! LOL!!!

I have to admit that I absolutely loved blogging and to be honest with technology in this current day... it is just an open book,  journal , or diary that I can leave behind for my precious children.  I am sure that I am going to have readers again who love my blog and people who think I am just a weirdo...but... for those of you know me... you know I really don't care and at the end of the day..... I am a weirdo. LOL!  So here it goes.... just a little update on my life in the past couple of years...

1. Still married to my handsome husband Tommy.

2.  Loving my precious kids.... Eli just turned 15...(gulp),  Bleeze is 8, and Miss Priss Suri is now 2.

3. Tommy still owns Bagwell Custom Floors and it is doing well and thriving. He is about to embark on some new business adventures this year and we are very excited.

4. Eli is working harder than ever at being an amazing dancer. I have NEVER been proud of anyone in my entire life! He teaches me a thing or two every day about hard work and persistence.

5.  Bleeze.... he is same old loveable Bleeze! He is sharpening his dance skills also but his true skills is being a minecrafter! LOL!!! That little guy is so sweet and loving.. I get about fifty kisses and hugs a day!

6. Suri... well my beautiful princess is pretty amazing. She is so much fun for our entire family. We just love her to pieces! She is just busy growing and learning and messing... this girlie is the messiest girl on the planet but I love her all the more for it :).

7.  I now own a photography studio and boutique and love every minute of it!

8. I am still a homeschooling mommy and love it all the more!

9.  I still love to bake and craft but I never have time for either anymore.

10.  I still LOVE to shop! LOL!

So there you have it! A little catching up and the first "blog" of 2014 with many more to come!

Happy New Year to you all!!!

Weekend Wrap Up....

We survived the first full week of home-school. It is always difficult to get back into a routine and takes us a couple of weeks. That is one of the pleasures of homeschooling you can work it out as you go. The boys seemed to be happy back on a “tight” schedule again. I think they are more productive that way (like both their parents….we have created little organized, scheduled monsters)

The weekend was nice, we enjoyed dinner out as a family on Friday evening and watched the movie Mirror, Mirror which I highly recommend. It was a great movie. Saturday the kiddos got to spend the day with Grandma Joan while business took Tommy and I to the hills. We spent the day in Asheville, and shopping the little shops in Flat Rock. It was so nice. We enjoyed it so much!

Sunday was such a lazy day. We went to church and lunch and then watched movies the entire afternoon/evening. I haven’t done that in ages! It was a nice change!

Today is a rainy start to our week but that’s okay! I have to catch up on my housecleaning and laundry when we are finished with home-school and then it is the usual, dance, dinner, TV, bed routine. Hope everyone has a great start to their week!

Blogging Bash….

I may just have a blogging bash the next few days. It seems that lately I have had tons of thoughts and feelings that it would benefit me to put in writing. But for now thought…. Here is a little update….

Last week, was a good week. The kids and I enjoyed a trip to Chucke Cheese with our best buddies the Stones and a trip to the Apple Farm with Nana Tammy and cousin Lexi. Fun times with some pretty fun kiddos!

Saturday, I enjoyed a ladies brunch for church at Wink. Such a yummy new little restaurant here in Greer. If you are local it is on the corner of the Staples shopping center. (they so need a sign) Hope to go there again soon. I had a photo session in the afternoon with some sweet sisters. I love meeting new people.

Sunday we enjoyed church, lunch, the Indie Craft Parade, a walk downtown, gelato from the Lazy Goat, and a quick trip to Walmart. LOL! Sunday is my favorite day of the week because it is one of the only days we are all together as a family.

This week is crazy busy. Eli’s dance sessions are back (5 days a week) and we started back home school. I enjoying the busy fall season thought. It keeps us organized, scheduled and in order. For now, I am going to get the show moving for today!

such a bad blogger

I feel as if though I have written this same blog a zillion times. I always make a vow and promise to keep up with my blog and yet I fail. It is my own fault though. I allow the little things to keep me from taking the time to do it.... So here is a little catch up...

Eli has had a great summer full of fun with his new dance company friends. I love seeing my kids happy and dance is fulfilling him. In the words of a great friend.... "he was made to dance". I have never been more proud.

Bleeze had a fun summer too... Mostly playing... That boy plays more than any child I have ever seen. HOURS and HOURS of pretend. Mostly with cars or Build-a-Bears. He brightens my day.

Suri...well she has brought so much joy to our home. We can't imagine our life without her. She is such a little blessing. Her sweet smile and disposition are priceless. She is growing and changing everyday. She is waving and saying Dada, Eli, Bite, eat and Mama (nama) is what she calls me. LOL! She is still not crawling but I am not worried. Bleeze never crawled.

Tommy and I have been busy working, working, and working. I am so thankful for my hard working man! We went on a few vacations. We enjoyed a long weekend with my in-laws in Pigeon Forge, TN where we enjoyed Dollywood and the Titanic Museum along with lots of great food and laughter.

Then we enjoyed a week at Harbor Island with my parents. That area is probably my most favorite place to vacation. I love being close to the beach and all the beautiful nature that surrounds you there. We enjoyed Hunting Island, shopping trips into Beaufort, SC, Shrimp Shack, Boondocks, Gullah Island, and of course tons of memories and laughter.

We spent the 4th of July in Gatlinburg, TN. This was a first for us. We have never spent an entire week in Gatlinburg. We had a great time. We visited Dollywood almost everyday with our season passes. The highlight for me was at midnight on the 4th we enjoyed a parade and firework show. It was such fun. We relaxed the entire week. swimming and just being lazy.

We just enjoyed 10 days at Myrtle Beach. We had a great time. I love the beach, I have to admit though.... Even though we had an amazing time and I would not trade the memories made last week for the world, I am just not a Myrtle Beach kind of girl. We had not been in 8 years. We have beach vacationed in Florida, and the Belfort area for the past 8 years so it was a fun change but there is so much hustle and bustle and I guess I had gotten you to do nothing. LOL! We had a great time on the beach..... My favorite thing we did was The Pirate's Voyage dinner show. Such fun! Not to mention Ripley's Aquarium, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, and We ate so much! I am detoxing this week. We were lucky to get to have dinner with our friends the Eubanks and we also enjoyed spending time with our friends/neighbors the Clishams too! It was a great 10 days and I feel extremely blessed to have the time with my sweet family.

So what is on the agenda now??? Well, we start home school MONDAY! Whew... then it is all the normal fall excitement. I actually hate to see summer go every year but this year I have to admit I am excited for fall. I can't wait for Halloween with Suri, and then all the dance competitions coming up with Eli and then it will be all the Holiday fun!

So for now... I am going to make one more attempt at this blogging adventure. I used to be so faithful to blogging. I started having mixed emotions because so many times you post your thoughts and feelings and then causes so much emotion and sometimes struggles between relationships. I often question is it worth it? However, I have decided that my blog is MY blog. I can basically blog what I like and if I do it in LOVE then all should end well... and if it doesn't....maybe that is just the way it is supposed to be.

So leaving on a happy note... Have a Happy Hump Day!

and yet another vow,...LOL!

Wow...It has been so long since I blogged, they have changed the blogging format kinda throwing me off of my game. I always vow that I am going to manage and keep up with my blogging and yet I never do. It is a shame because blogging is great way to document feelings, thoughts, and memories for you lifetime. So here is another.."vow" to keep up with the blogging. Normally I blog my families events what we have been up to, thoughts and feeling I have on certain subjects etc. The past 6 months have literally been a baby girl is already six months, my photography business has really taken off and I have just been in general busy with life. Let's see....what is our newest news??? My sweet Eli made a company dance team. Yep... he is now a company dancer for Upstate Strut...I guess that makes me a "Dance Mom" I am so proud of him, I know he is going to do amazing and I can't wait for this upcoming year. So for now... I am going to go do the 2nd thing I vowed to do today and that is to clean my house. Hope everyone has a great day!!!

Happy Valentines Day!

So blogger is being crazy today and I am having trouble uploading photos.... so I guess I will have to do my past few months in review later. Yesterday was Valentines and it is one of my favorite holidays! I love Valentines....all the pink, hearts, sappy junk! For those of you who know me know I just love all things "love". Monday night I had my date with my Valentine. We had a yummy dinner at Bonefish Grill and then we did what all married couples who have been married forever do, went to sports store and Wal-mart for toilet paper. LOL! We did have fun and enjoyed our time together. After we got home we decided to exchange gifts and give the kiddos their Valentines.

So Tuesday morning the boys had chocolate chip heart shaped waffles and then lunch was heart shaped turkey sandwiches. The boys had fun decorating cookies and I then we had a family "love" dinner with all their favorite meal.... pot roast (Bleeze refers to it as "brown chicken") Such a fun day!
